Felix Marx, Chief Executive Officer
Felix Marx joined Trūata as CEO to advance its goal of furthering consumers’ control over their data as envisioned by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), while enabling businesses to better serve their customers through data-led decisions. He brings more than 20 years of experience in identity management, financial services and telecommunications, leading technology companies focused on driving value for client organizations and the consumers they serve.
Felix’s wealth of experience working across regions including Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and North America equips him to serve global customers across industries. Felix’s expertise spans a range of technologies including identity and trusted service management, identification and smart cards, secure mobile transactions, mergers and acquisitions and more.
Most recently, Felix served as Executive Vice President, Services, Mastercard in Asia Pacific. In that role, he was responsible for a holistic go-to-market strategy and driving growth in the region. Prior to that, Felix was CEO of Pinpoint, which was acquired by Mastercard in 2014. Other past roles include CEO and President of C-Sam, Inc. and CEO of Identive Group, which he initially joined as CEO of SCM Microsystems.
In addition, Felix held the position of executive director of the Identive Group board, as well sitting on the board of directors for several of Identive Group’s portfolio companies. Felix has also held a variety of general management positions with companies including NXP Semiconductors, Philips Semiconductors, Global One Telecommunications and Ericsson Telecommunications.
He was instrumental in founding the NFC Forum and also served as Director of the Board on behalf of Philips Semiconductors and NXP Semiconductors.
Felix holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Technical Academy in Vienna (HTBLVA Wien 1); a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Commerce in Vienna and a Master of Advanced Studies in Knowledge Management from Danube University in Austria.
Michael Ingrassia, President & General Counsel
Michael Ingrassia joined Truata as President and General Counsel from Mastercard International, where he was the Senior Managing Counsel for Strategic Transactions and Global Mergers and Acquisitions. At Mastercard, Michael managed a broad array of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and investments.
Prior to joining Mastercard, Michael gained broad experience as an Associate in the M&A group of the global law firm Latham & Watkins LLP, and an Associate Consultant in the Boston and London offices of the strategy consulting firm L.E.K. Consulting.
Michael is a graduate of Trinity College (Hartford) and the Georgetown University Law Center.
Mark Vanni, Chief Operating Officer
Mark Vanni joined Truata as Chief Operating Officer. He brings more than 20 years experience in financial services and payments, having led both global product and technology teams focused on driving value for client organizations and their customers. Mark’s operational experience in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and North America has well equipped him to serve global customers across a wide range industries and technologies, including payments, fraud and risk management, data analytics and more.
As Truata’s COO, Mark will leverage his expertise to drive product strategy and development; manage customer relationships including onboarding and support; and ensure flawless delivery of services through managing platform operations and vendor relationships.
Prior to joining Truata, Mark served as Senior Vice President, Services at Mastercard Worldwide. In this role, he was responsible for a holistic go-to-market strategy and driving growth of Mastercard‘s global processing and fraud-related products and services. Previously, Mark was a founder and CTO of Solspark, a first-generation payment-processing technology and services company. Solspark was acquired by First Data in 2003. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Virginia.
Aoife Sexton, Chief Privacy Officer & Chief of Product Innovation
In her role as Chief Privacy Officer & Chief of Product Innovation, Aoife is responsible for developing and bringing to market innovative privacy enhancing technologies and services that sit at the intersection of Big Data, analytics and privacy. She works with a team of talented data scientists, engineers, and privacy experts to shape new products and services, leveraging the experience of seasoned product managers to guide them to market. As privacy is in the DNA of Truata, she also oversees, with the privacy team, all aspects of data protection compliance within Truata.
Aoife joined the Truata team from the law firm Tech Law Services, where she was a Principal for the past six years advising technology clients within the areas of Commercial, Data Protection, IP and Technology Law. She also Co-Founded and has been a Director at Frontier Privacy, an innovative consultancy firm offering a full range of data protection services, with a specific focus on assisting companies to prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation.
Previously, Aoife headed up the IP/IT department of a large Dublin commercial law firm. Prior to that Aoife was General Counsel with an Irish technology company, Altobridge.
Aoife also spent 12 years with the GSM Association, the global industry body for mobile operators, where she held a number of senior positions including that of General Counsel, CEO (Interim), Head of Government and Regulatory Affairs and Head of the Development Fund.
Previous private practice experience includes the French law firm Siméon & Associés (Brussels) as well as a Eugene F Collins (Dublin).
Aoife is a graduate of University College Dublin (BCL) and the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium. She is a Certified Data Protection Practitioner (PC.dp) as well as International Association of Privacy Professionals CIPP/E certified. She is an approved IAPP trainer for the CIPP/E course and conducts regular training courses in Ireland.
She is a lecturer on data protection at the Law Society of Ireland’s school of law as well as a lecturer on the Law Society’s post graduate courses on data protection and technology law. She is also a regular conference speaker particularly on the GDPR.
Paul Cash, Chief Technology Officer
Paul Cash joined Truata as Chief Technology Officer from Smartbox Group where he was the Director of IT Operations for the past 4 years. He brings over 25 years’ technology experience across a number of sectors including manufacturing, sports betting and insurance, working for some of the top European multinational companies including Smurfit Kappa Group and Paddy Power PLC.
Paul has an established track record of leading large teams across all technology functions, with a particular focus on B2B and B2C solutions at scale across both public and private cloud platforms delivering transformation of mission critical, high volume and complex IT environments.
Pat Brennan, Chief Financial Officer
Pat Brennan joined Truata as Chief Financial Officer from Vo1t Digital Custodian, where he was Chief Financial Officer. Before that, Pat was the Senior Vice President Finance at F5 Networks. Previously, Pat held senior finance posts at Nortel Networks and PPG Industries and was a chartered accountant at KPMG.
Pat is a graduate of Ulster University and holds a DPA (Masters) in Accounting from Queen’s University, Belfast.

Shallu Behar-Sheehan joined Truata in late 2019 as Chief Marketing Officer. Deirdre O'Gorman, Chief HR Officer
Deirdre joined the Truata team from IBM Ireland, where she gained extensive experience in all aspects of HRM, ranging from human capital management where Deirdre started her career, to global strategic thinking/planning roles. In her most recent role as HR European Leader for Diversity and Inclusion she built an inclusive culture that embraces and is representative of all diversities.
Deirdre has served as senior business partner advising several divisions of the IBM Business which included mentoring and coaching teams as diverse as Senior Management, Data Engineers, and Technical Sales teams. Deirdre is recognised for her ability to strengthen the link between people and strategy, as well her expertise in managing, motivating and retaining talent – abilities invaluable to any growing and scaling enterprise. Among Deirdre’s management qualities is her deep commitment to working in a collaborative, transparent and inclusive manner which allows her to facilitate the building of lasting relationships that will continue to yield residual value across the business far into the future. Deirdre has a Masters in HRM from The National College of Ireland (NCI) and is a chartered member of the CIPD.
James House, Chief Customer Officer
James joined the Truata Executive Team in 2019 as Chief Customer Officer. James’ primary focus is the management of Truata’s value proposition and solutions for key industry verticals including Telco, Travel, Retail, Financial Services and Automotive. His career spans over 20 years in leading marketing services, CRM and insight consultancies for both independent start-ups and major corporate environments.
Prior to joining Truata, James was part of the management team at Mastercard where he was responsible for developing data led propositions and products for key industry verticals. Leading the monetization of Mastercard data and insights with retailers and consumer packaged goods companies globally through platform development, thought leadership and strategic partnerships. James had global responsibility for strategic retail client value propositions and relationships including marquee clients in the UK, Europe, Africa, US and Australia.
James has a BSc in Economics from the University of Surrey and was educated at The British School in the Netherlands.
