Trūata team grows, with appointment of President & General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer
DUBLIN BASED DATA ANALYTICS START-UP, TRūATA, ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL INGRASSIA AS PRESIDENT & GENERAL COUNSEL AND PAT BRENNAN AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
Data analytics and anonymisation firm Trūata today announced the appointment of Michael Ingrassia as its President & General Counsel, along with Pat Brennan as Chief Financial Officer. Michael and Pat will be members of Trūata’s senior management team, reporting directly into CEO Felix Marx.
Mr Marx said: “I am excited to welcome Michael and Pat to Trūata. Their expertise and experience will add to an already strong management team. Their counsel and leadership will further enhance our innovation, technical development and value to our clients. Trūata continues to welcome the best talent, as we pioneer a new approach to data analysis.”
Michael Ingrassia joins Trūata as President and General Counsel. He will be responsible for general company operations, legal matters, corporate governance and brand stewardship. Michael was formerly the Senior Managing Counsel for Strategic Transactions, and Global Mergers and Acquisitions at Mastercard International. There he managed a broad array of transactions for Mastercard, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and investments. Prior to joining Mastercard, Michael gained broad experience as an Associate in the M&A group of the global law firm Latham & Watkins LLP, and an Associate Consultant in the Boston and London offices of the strategy consulting firm L.E.K. Consulting.
Michael Ingrassia said “I am proud to join Trūata at this stage in its growth. The vision for the company is clear, and the talent is in place to support it. Working with the leadership team to develop the company and achieve that vision is an exciting challenge. I look forward to building the future of the company with the great team in Dublin.”
Pat Brennan joins Trūata as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for driving the strategic financial and operational agenda. Pat was formerly the CFO for Vo1t Digital Custodian. Before that was the Senior Vice President Finance at F5 Networks. Previously, Pat held senior finance posts at Nortel Networks and PPG Industries and was a chartered accountant at KPMG.
Pat Brennan said “I look forward to joining the talented team at Trūata as we build the company into a leader in compliance-focused data analytics and a truly global company focused on the responsible and transparent analysis of data on behalf of its customers.”
Their appointments follow last month’s company launch announcement, which set out its goals of hiring up to 75 personnel – mainly data analysts, data scientists and engineers – for its Dublin headquarters this year, and the news that privacy expert Aoife Sexton joined the company as Chief Privacy Officer.
Trūata was established in March 2018 as an independent company under a unique trust structure with Mastercard and IBM as founding partners and beneficiaries. It was set up to be the world’s first GDPR-compliant data analytics services company. Helping organisations conduct analytics in full compliance with data protection laws. In May 2018 artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) firm C3 IoT joined as a beneficiary and technology provider.
